Subject: Attacks on InterNIC
Systems affected: all servers
InterNIC is currently suffering as a result of attempts by certain people to
register thousands of domain names and not pay for them - by letting the
registrations expire and then immediately re-registering the domains.
This is affecting attempts to transfer domain names, WHOIS requests, and may
even be causing DNS timeouts on .com, .net, and .org domain names.
